HOPE COMMUNITY MINISTRIES

meeting the needs of pleasant grove & surrounding areas

We have a constant opportunity to feed the hungry in our needy world.  "The poor you will always have with you, and you can help them any time you want. But you will not always have me." Mark 14:7, and we should do what we can to relieve the suffering of others. The New Testament consistently directs us to focus our resources on fellow believers. “As we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers” (Galatians 6:10). Our church family is the priority; we must feed the hungry in our midst.

How You Can Help

We believe that everyone has the capacity to change and impact growth on a larger and wider scale.

The world is filled with needs that only a generous heart can supply.  To volunteer for one or more of the ministries, please

contact Staci Owen (205-744-0100) or email owen@fbcpg.org.

  • Hope Ministries expect nothing in return but to see the world healed little by little each day. If you share the same passion to partake in making a difference, there’s no better way to do it than to start by extending a helping hand to those who need it. The greatest impact you can make is to change the lives of others, who in return, might change the lives of others as well.

    • Single Parents Ministry

  • Our vision of making the world a better place through the service of giving. We make all of these possible through the help of individuals whose hearts are in tune with the needs of those who are in poverty, and the lack of opportunities to grow and flourish on their own.

    • Food Pantry Boxed Food - Once a week or every other week we will offer food distribution. We will offer a 20 minute worship service prior to food distribution.
    • Hot Meals - This will be designed for our Senior Adults. Sort of our own version of meals on wheels, but instead of just dropping off, we would take time to minister to those who receive the meal.
    • Gathering for Meals - Have large events with a meal that’s provided, and the community is invited. Perhaps even find a place in an under-resourced neighborhood and take food in and serve it.

  • Responding to the community/individual who is in need, by offering programs that will educate, support and minister.

    • Biblical counseling
    • Seminars/Conferences on parenting, finances and marriage
    • Celebrate Recovery (group for families of addicts)
    • Grief Share
    • Dementia/Alzheimer’s
